Thinking Too Much

If I let go of
my mind
I don’t know
if it will float
or hesitate and hover
like a butterfly
or collapse under
its own weight.

Nancy Kay Peterson is grateful there are readers who appreciate one-sentence poems.

Resignation

aunt’s comforter and grandma’s quilt,
the only soul left alive to know
the meaning of their weight and warmth.

Nancy Kay Peterson’s short poetry has appeared most recently online on One Sentence Poems, Spank the Carp and Three Line Poetry.
